Montana Gov. Steve Bullock claims that he will “fiercely defend the Second Amendment rights of our citizens.” But it’s pretty clear the governor doesn’t understand the Second Amendment, and he doesn’t mean what he says. He vetoed a bill that would have ended state cooperation with the enforcement of any future federal gun laws. And his reason for issuing the veto makes it pretty clear he is either ignorant of the Constitution and the law, or a liar.
