For the next year-and-a-half, virtually every politically engaged American will focus almost exclusively on the presidential horse race. The country will spend millions and millions of dollars to determine the next occupant of the White House. Americans will waste hundreds of hours obsessing over the candidates. Many will call it the “most important election of our lifetime.
And ultimately, it won’t make a bit of difference.
You will never solve America’s problems by turning to Washington D.C. Washington D.C. is the problem.
