So, I’ve been cyphering on some question about ISIS and how the U.S. should respond. I can’t find any easy answers.foley_still

These ISIS people have to know that decapitation videos spark outrage and make U.S. military intervention more likely. In fact, it seems likely that they intend for the videos to do just that. They obviously understand social media and the impact of propaganda. So, doesn’t it follow that they must WANT the U.S. to up its intervention? If that is true, it seems important to ask why they would want that. Obviously, they think it will benefit them in some way, yes?

So, what to do?

Many questions. Few answers. But one obvious conclusion from a Facebook friend – forcing visions of utopia lead to sh$#.
