This quote from a Facebook comment sums up everything wrong with the “conservative” movement in America.
I’m all for state’s rights, but sometimes a federal rule makes sense!
News flash: you aren’t really “all for state’s rights.”
This particular individual wants the federal government to force every state to recognize every other state’s conceal-carry permit. But we find self-proclaimed conservatives expressing a similar attitude relating to a host of issues.
“If it’s a really good idea, have the feds implement it across the good ol’ USA!”
Constitutional limits on federal power fly out the window when these champions of “limited government” find a policy they want implemented.
But if the Constitution means nothing, and you shove it aside when it stands in the way of achieving your policy preference, it literally means nothing.
